J Crew are back at it again with another 998 colour up. They have been gaining quite a reputation for creating some of the best 998s in recent years, this one however has mixed opinions. In its defence there are yet to be official pictures to give a better idea of colours. Word is if you call J Crew and give a description of the shoe they can put one on preorder for you as done by a NikeTalk forum member.

In the last 6 years Flimby made a move to improve quality and reinforce the toe box of the 1500, the problem is it created what is now known as the "cliff" toe box. This has resulted in many people being disinterested in 1500s and opting rather for the great shape of Made in USA 1300s or 998s. But it looks like Flimby have been listening and recent 1500s seem to have improved the shape, especially seen in these upcoming pairs in Burgundy and Slate. This is really exciting for the die hard 1500 fans like me and great to see that a big company like New Balance still listens to their consumers. Look for these to be more widely available in the coming weeks:

Hype DC down under in Australia have just released the 577 Anniversary pack, so we can assume that those that have preorders should be having theirs sent out really soon. Unfortunately Hype only ship to Australia but look out for a global release soon. I really like the classic colour ways of both pairs and from what I've herd they will follow suit with previous anniversary pairs with white box and dust bag. What are your thoughs will you be choosing this over the more desired Authors pack?
